Care Groups

The purpose of our Care Groups is to build each other up in God’s love. Care Groups typically meet biweekly September to June. The Church Deacons oversee the groups to make sure they are functioning well and have solid leadership. These groups typically involve Bible study, prayer, potlucks, fun activity. Groups are responsible to look after each other’s needs, physically, emotionally and socially under the guidance of their deacon couple.

If you would like to be part of a care group, contact Gil Rempel at grrempel@gmail.com.

The beliefs that drive our care groups are:

  • God created us for relationships
  • Jesus told us to be one as He and the Father are one
  • Every person who attends our church should be cared for
  • The Bible should be interpreted in community
  • We all need accountability in our lives to remain faithful
  • We need our concerns lifted in prayer by caring friends
  • We need support in times of Crisis
  • Spiritual growth happens best in community
  • We need encouragement to weather life’s storms

How we ensure this happens:

  • Meet together regularly from September through May
  • Encourage openness and sharing
  • Include fellowship meals
  • Commit time to pray for each other
  • Study the Bible together
  • Meet simply to have fun and connect on some occasions
  • Continue the connections outside of care group meetings
  • Do outreach activities together
  • Always be willing to welcome new people
  • Support each other in crisis
  • Find ways of caring for those on our list who do not attend
